The Rainbow Effect

What is happiness?

What is happiness to a boy in Africa and to a boy in America?

What does happiness mean to you and your neighbor?

Happiness varies for different people depending on their current state.

Let's divide our life into different levels.

A person at level 1 desires to reach level 10.

To this person level 10 is happiness.

This person slowly progresses through the levels.

When this person reaches level 5, his perception of happiness will no longer be at level 10.

It will be at level 12? Level 15?

I refer to this as the happiness cycle or the rainbow effect.

You see it but you will never reach it.

I think many people perceive happiness like that.

It is a strange thing.

Happiness.

Much of what we know had been shaped by the society, by the world.

If I did not know better, I would think that some super authority is making us think the way we do.

This authority wants us to work towards certain values.

So that we forget the important.

It is like the monkey in the room experiment.

Happiness cannot be defined.

It has no fixed state.

A person who knows a better place, does not consider his current.

Thank God for eternity because that is the eventual end of all things.

Eternity.

Faith

Faith.

At this point in life, after hearing countless sermons and books, I want to summarize what I know about faith:

Faith is the most powerful force in the universe.

Faith taps into the ability of God which essentially is (no such word exists).

You cannot touch faith or see faith.

Faith and fear cannot rest on the same plane of thought.

If you have fear, you do not have faith and vice versa.

Faith exists in packets.

You might have faith to do something but no faith (therefore fear) in another thing.

You can't possibly have half a faith.

What I had been trying to do all this while is getting rid of my fears.

In doing so, fill up my life with faith.

Lose all your fears. Start believing.

Say "I'm not afraid of this. I believe in this."

This reminds me of a comic hero Green Lantern. The story its about normal people (and aliens) who had been selected to become space police because of their ability to overcome fear. Their rings allow the users to construct anything from their imagination.

I think faith is like a muscle. You got to work at it.

You got to keep losing your fears and call faith in.

One day, I will have the faith to do anything, heal people, raise the dead.

Anything.

About Ants

I love ants.

Once I caught a queen ant and built an enclosure to house it.

It was built so that the 2 main glass panels of the enclosure was about 3 cm apart.

This allowed you to see the tunnels the ants built.

Some time later I built a better tank to house another colony.

I also caught a queen red ant which makes its dwelling by weaving many leaves together using the silk produced by the pupae of the colony.

And then another ant species which was my favorite.

The workers of this colony moved quickly and did not bite unlike the other colonies I owned.

I allowed the ants of these colony to run free in my room. It was really amazing to watch the ants scavenge for food.

But unfortunately this drew the attention of house lizards which are drawn (undoubtedly) by the pheromones produced by the ants. Plus my mother does not approve of the ants running around (barefooted) in my room.

And so I had to move the enclosure outside house.

Which unfortunately drew more house lizards(which eat the ants, in case you do not know yet) and eventually the colony died out.

So what is this about ants?

The most important member of the colony is the queen.

All the other ants will die for her.

Why?

I want to say that ants are like people.

But I realized that one person will not simply die for another person.

Why should they.

But if you were been attacked by something, you would use your hand to defend yourself.

You will not put your head in front of your hand.

Instinctively, your hand reaches out to protect your other body areas.

In a way, an ant colony behaves like a whole person.

And the whole colony grows and sometimes invades other colonies.

Every ant in a colony is an individual organism and yet as a colony they are also a whole organism.

There is a special connection between each ant that allows this to happen.

I know ants produce pheromone, they communicate through their antenna or feelers. They can also see though differently from us.

Ants are fascinating.

This is a diagram of the anatomy of an ant.

God has designed every organ within this ant.

The ant does its tasks autonomously.

It does what the colony (whole organism) requires it to.

Before I arrive at any deduction, I have to say that God has made the ant this way. Just as He made each man and woman to function the way they are.

The Intro Post

I am starting a blog to discover the power of our thoughts.

I know our thoughts can do amazing things.

A simple experiment is to imagine doing push ups in your head.

Focus on your arm muscles as you do this for about 50 times.

You will feel your muscle actually straining without the act of doing it.

Amazing isn't it.

I want to discover what our thoughts can do to our bodies and eventually if our thoughts can affect our immediate surroundings and other people.

I always suspected that our thoughts have a certain level of effect on other people.

If people's thoughts can affect others positively and negatively, then what can I do about it.
